MOTHERHOOD UNIVERSITY

The Motherhood University (MHU) is a university situated in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India, on the Roorkee-Dehradun Highway near the river Solani, occupying a 12-acre campus. It was established under the Uttarakhand Govt. Act 05 of 2015 and is recognized by the UGC, holding the right to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act 1956. The university originated from the Motherhood Institute of Management & Technology Society, which was started in 2004 to provide education, research, and training to the youth of Uttarakhand, along with objectives to establish orphanages, clinics, old age homes, and charitable hospitals. MHU offers multidisciplinary courses in arts, humanities, social sciences, commerce, business studies, engineering and technology, library and information science, mathematical sciences, science, agriculture, education, pharmaceutical sciences, legal studies, and paramedical and allied health sciences. It conducts research in laboratories covering chemistry, physics, biology, electronics, mechanical, civil, and electrical engineering, and computing. The university was awarded the 'Uttarakhand Education Excellence Award' by Chief Minister Harish Rawat and Indra Hridyesh, the Minister for Higher Education. MHU also promotes sports and games.
