JOWAI POLYTECHNIC
Jowai Polytechnic was established in 2002 by the Government of Meghalaya as a polytechnic college. It is recognised by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and currently offers diploma courses in three disciplines. The college is situated at Ladthadlaboh, Jowai, within a sprawling campus that includes the main academic building along with laboratories. The campus also provides residential quarters for faculty and staff, as well as hostels for students. The diploma courses currently offered by the college are Costume Design & Garment Technology, Automobile Engineering, and Architectural Assistantship. These programs are designed to provide technical education to students in the West Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The institution serves as a technical education center in the region, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in the fields of design, automotive engineering, and architecture-related assistantship roles.
