Krishnagar Womens College
Krishnagar Women's College was established in 1958 as a women's college located in Krishnagar, in the Nadia district of West Bengal, India. The institution offers undergraduate courses in both arts and sciences and is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. In 2015, Manabi Bandopadhyay took charge as principal of the college, becoming India's first openly transgender college principal. The college's science departments include Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics, while its arts departments include Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Geography, Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
