MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY,
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) is a state university in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, established in 2013 by upgrading Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College (MMMEC), founded in 1962. The university was created through the Uttar Pradesh Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology Act, 2013, passed in September 2013, following a 2012 government announcement to upgrade the college into a residential university. Undergraduate admissions were initially conducted through UPSEE, then through the university's own Malaviya Entrance Test (MET), and from 2021–2022 through JEE-Main conducted by the National Testing Agency, with B.Pharm admissions via CUET. Postgraduate admissions to MTech are based on GATE scores, while other programs like MBA, MCA, and MSc moved to UPCET from 2021–2022. In 2022, MMMUT became the first state university in Uttar Pradesh to receive an A grade from NAAC. The university was ranked 84th by NIRF in 2024, improving to 60th in Engineering, 64th in University category, 23rd among state public universities, and 99th overall in 2025.
