DEVANGA ARTS COLLEGE
Devanga Arts College is a general degree college situated in Aruppukottai, in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. The institution is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University and provides a range of academic programs across arts, commerce, and science disciplines. It holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC), which attests to its adherence to certain educational standards. The college gained attention due to a controversy involving an assistant professor, Ms. P. Nirmala Devi, who was accused of attempting to lure four female final-year B.Sc. students into prostitution. Following a written complaint from the students, the college authorities suspended her two days later, on 21 March. However, it is noted that no police complaint was filed by the college regarding this incident. The college is listed among educational institutions in Virudhunagar district and higher education institutions in Tamil Nadu. Its official website is https://dac.org.in/.
