SRI CHAITANYA DEGREE COLLEGE
The text describes Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions, a large Indian education group that includes schools, junior colleges, hostels, coaching institutes for IIT-JEE, NEET, EAMCET and UPSC-CS, and degree colleges. It was founded in 1986 by Dr. Boppana Satyanarayana Rao and his wife Dr. Jhansi Lakshmi Bai Boppana, starting as a junior college for girls in Vijaywada before expanding to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, and other districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The group grew to include over 321 state board-affiliated junior colleges, 322 K-10 Techno Schools, and 107 CBSE-affiliated schools, serving over 8.5 lakh students, making it one of Asia's largest educational franchises. In 2021, actor Allu Arjun became its brand ambassador. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the group launched the Infinity Learn edtech platform, later acquiring 'Don't Memorise' and a stake in WizKlub, and partnering with Google Cloud India in 2024. The founder died in July 2023. The text also details a 2023 suicide case at a Narsingi junior college campus, leading to derecognition and revelations of unauthorized additional campuses. No specific information about a Kakinada degree college is provided in this text.
