SIR THEAGARAYA COLLEGE

The available text does not describe Sir Theagaraya College as an educational institution; instead, it discusses a metro station named after the college. Sir Theagaraya College is referenced only because it lends its name to an underground station on the North-South Corridor of Line 1's Blue Line Extension of the Chennai Metro, located in Chennai, India. This station serves the neighbourhoods of Old Washermanpet and other northern suburbs of the city. The station was inaugurated on February 14, 2021, as part of the Phase I northern extension of the Blue Line. According to the text, the station is named after Sir Theagaraya College, which is located in the same locality. No further information about the college's history, founding year, affiliation, courses, or campus is provided in the text. The passage is primarily focused on the metro station's role within the Chennai Metro system, its geographic service area, and its inauguration date, rather than on the educational institution itself.
