Loyola Academy

Loyola Academy is a private, co-educational college preparatory high school located in Wilmette, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago. It was founded in 1909 by the Jesuits as a school for young men, originally situated in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the campus of Loyola University Chicago's Dumbach Hall, before relocating to Wilmette in 1957. The school is run by the USA Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus and is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. It became co-educational in 1994 after affiliating with Saint Louise de Marillac High School. In 2003, Loyola opened a new 60-acre campus in Glenview, Illinois, featuring athletic fields and a wetland preserve used for science studies. Academically, the school offers over 110 courses across the liberal arts, three honors programs, and numerous AP classes, with about 99% of students attending four-year universities. Athletically, its teams, known as the Ramblers, compete in the CCL and have won multiple state titles in football and lacrosse, including IHSA football championships in 1993, 2015, 2018, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
