Shivgram Education Societys Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital Shiroda

Shri Kamaxidevi Homoeopathic Medical College is the first and only homoeopathic medical college located in Shiroda, Goa. It is affiliated to Goa University and recognized by the Government of Goa, as well as by the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's Department of AYUSH, Government of India. The college was established in 1998 by Subhash Shirodkar, who had earlier founded the Shivgram Education Society in 1988, which also runs a primary school, high school, and higher secondary school in Shiroda. The college is attached to a teaching hospital that provides clinical training, with separate outpatient and inpatient departments serving the public. It publishes the Indian Journal of Applied Homoeopathy, a quarterly publication, and engages in research activities, seminars, and exhibitions to promote homoeopathy. Visiting professors include pioneering homoeopaths, and the student council participates in various social activities. However, the Central Council of Homoeopathy barred the college from admitting first-year students in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years due to non-compliance with certain regulatory norms. The current principal is Prof. Dr. Roshini R. Shirwaikar.
