IST offers undergraduate B.Tech and postgraduate M.Tech programs in engineering and technology, diploma studies, BCA, MCA, BBA, and BHM courses. Admission to B.Tech courses is based on the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and All India Engineering Entrance Examination, with provisions for direct admission of NRI/foreign national students. The college hosts annual events including Teacher's Day, Freshers Program, and Annual Sports.
