Khalsa College of Education Amritsar
Khalsa College of Education, Amritsar was established in 1954 as part of the institutions run by the Khalsa College Charitable Society, the same organization that manages the century-old Khalsa College, Amritsar, founded in 1892. The Society oversees a network of colleges and schools in and around Amritsar, including Khalsa College for Women, Khalsa College of Nursing, Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Khalsa College of Engineering & Technology, and several senior secondary schools. Khalsa College of Education is listed among these institutions as one dedicated to teacher education. The broader Khalsa College Charitable Society traces its origins to the Singh Sabha Movement and the Chief Khalsa Diwan, which worked to establish educational institutions for Sikhs and Punjabis during the British Raj. While detailed information about the specific campus, curriculum, or affiliation of Khalsa College of Education is not provided in available records, it operates as part of the larger Khalsa College system based in Amritsar, Punjab, which has historically been associated with promoting higher education among the Sikh community and the wider Punjabi population since the founding of the original Khalsa College in 1892.
