Ranchi Women's College was established on 18 July 1949, making it one of the oldest women's colleges in the Jharkhand state of India. It began with 11 students and three teachers under the visionary Founder Principal, Professor Bhanumathy Prasad, at the then Mohsin Manjilat Circular Road, Ranchi. Since then, it has grown into a multi-faculty premier institution, described as a 'Capacity Builder for Women' across the state. The college is located in the heart of Ranchi town in Jharkhand.
