INDORE MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE AND RESEARCH CENTRE

IIM Indore, founded in 1996, is an autonomous public business school located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established as the sixth Indian Institute of Management, following IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow, and IIM Kozhikode. Initially operating from the Government Polytechnic College in Rajendra Nagar, Indore, it moved to its current 193-acre campus at Prabandh Shikhar, Rau-Pithampur Road, in 2003. The institute's first MBA (PGP) batch began in 1998 with 37 participants. Over the years, it introduced several programmes, including the Fellow Programme in Management, Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP), and the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first undergraduate programme offered by any IIM. IIM Indore also briefly operated campuses in Ras al-Khaimah and Dubai (UAE) and in Mumbai. It became the second IIM to receive the Triple Crown Accreditation (AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS) in global management education. The institute was named an Institute of National Importance in 2017, along with the other IIMs.
