Sahyadri Science College is a government college situated in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka, and it operates as a constituent college of Kuvempu University, Shivamogga. In 1956, the college was upgraded to First Grade College status and renamed Government First Grade College. It was renamed again in 1962 to Sahyadri College, and in 1984 it was bifurcated into two separate institutions: Sahyadri Arts College and Sahyadri Science College. The college has produced notable alumni including U. R. Ananthamurthy, Poornachandra Tejaswi, D.H. Shankaramurthy, K.V. Subbanna, and C.N.R. Rao. Padmashri K. S.
