Koklabari Chapaguri College
Koklabari Chapaguri College is a self-financed institute affiliated to Bodoland University, offering a Bachelor of Arts degree. It is located at Hazuwa, part of the Hazuwa revenue village, which is bifurcated by the Pota river into Hazuwa in the north and Simla in the south. Hazuwa falls under the Jalah revenue circle, which comprises 78 villages, and is situated in the Baksa district within BTAD, Assam. The area is mostly inhabited by Adivasi people, with agriculture as the main livelihood. Educational infrastructure in the region is limited, with only a few schools and one junior college offering 10+2 education, forcing students to travel far for higher studies. To address this gap, local educated residents formed a registered Trust that worked step by step to establish a degree college at Hazuwa, which was founded in 2013. The college offers Bachelor of Arts (Honours & Regular) programmes in subjects including Bodo, Assamese, English, Philosophy, Economics, Education, and Political Science.
