College of Agriculture, Pasighat

The College of Agriculture, Pasighat is one of thirteen constituent colleges of the Central Agricultural University (CAU), a central agricultural university headquartered at Lamphelpat, Imphal, Manipur, established under the Central Agricultural University Act, 1992. It is situated at Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh, alongside the College of Horticulture and Forestry, also located in the same town. As part of CAU, it offers undergraduate programmes in agriculture and related fields, with admissions conducted partly through state nominations and partly through the ICAR AIEEA examination administered by the National Testing Agency. The college also serves as one of six multi-technology testing centres (MTTC) and vocational training centres (VTC) operated by CAU, which are used to validate and test technologies developed by the university. Arunachal Pradesh falls within CAU's jurisdiction, which spans seven North-Eastern Indian states—Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. The university also operates a Krishi Vigyan Kendra in East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, serving as an agricultural extension centre for the region.
