SREE VIDYANIKETHAN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Sree Vidyanikethan College of Education operates under the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust (SVET), established in 1993 by Dr. M. Mohan Babu, an actor, film producer, Padma Shri awardee, and former Rajya Sabha member. SVET is located near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh and has grown from an initial student strength of 216 to nearly 10,000 students across five colleges, two international schools, and a pre-school. The trust emphasizes academic excellence for people of all backgrounds and nationalities. SVET provides financial support, offering free education to 25% of deserving students, and has benefited around 13,500 students through financial aid. Its library holds close to 69,000 titles, supplemented by computers with internet access. Scholarships are provided mainly to students from OBC, SC, and ST communities. Extracurricular activities across SVET institutions include yoga, meditation, sports like cricket and badminton, and cultural events. The trust also hosts Mohana Mantra, a techno-cultural fest, and celebrates the founder's birthday as Annual Day on 19 March. SVET maintains an alumni association supporting over 25,000 graduates.
