Chandigarh Engineering College Jhanjeri
CGC Jhanjeri, now known as CGC University Mohali, was initiated in 2012 as a technical campus under the Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), an educational institution network located in the Mohali district of Punjab, near Mohali. It currently operates under administration in Jhanjeri, a village situated between Mohali and Sirhind-Fategarh. The CGC also includes CGC Landran, established in 2001, and Chandigarh University, formerly CGC Gharuan, which was initiated in 2009 and granted university status by the University Grants Commission in 2012. These are distinct institutions at different locations under the broader CGC umbrella. Regarding placements, CGC University Mohali was visited by companies such as HP, Wipro, Cognizant, and IBM, which together offered more than 27 job offers. In 2018, the university was recognised as the best institution for placements in Punjab by Amarinder Singh, the Chief Minister of Punjab. The text does not provide further specific details about CGC University Mohali's affiliation, courses, or additional achievements beyond its founding, location, and placement recognition.
