METAS Adventist College
METAS Adventist College is located in Surat, Gujarat, and was established in 1998 as part of the broader METAS (Medical Educational Trust Association, Surat) organization. METAS operates as many as 3 boarding and 2 day schools, colleges, and 3 healthcare institutions across India, offering courses such as Nursing, Allied Health Professions, Business and Computer Science. The overall system traces its origins to 1923, when METAS Adventist Hospital, Surat began as a simple dispensary founded by missionary Pastor O. W. Lange. Originally, the school, college, and hospital functioned as separate units, but they were later brought together under the common umbrella name 'Metas' to unify these fragmented areas and create a solid platform for growth and development. METAS is part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, described as the world's second largest Christian school system. The institution is connected to the broader Seventh-day Adventist Church and its educational and theological traditions, as well as the global network of Adventist colleges and universities.
