College of Medicine & J.N.M. Hospital is a government medical college and tertiary referral hospital located in Kalyani, West Bengal, functioning under the administration of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The college is recognized by the National Medical Commission for MBBS and postgraduate medical degrees in selected subjects, and it also offers Nursing and other Paramedical courses under the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal. Undergraduate medical admissions are conducted on the basis of merit through the NEET examination, with a yearly MBBS intake of 125 students since 2019. Paramedical admissions are conducted through the SMFWBEE exam. The institution was established in 2009 and was first registered with the Medical Council of India in 2010, with its first batch of 100 students entering in August 2010. In 2013, Gandhi Memorial Hospital was added as a second campus to the institute. The college has had several principals over the years, including Dr. S. Deb, Dr. H. Dasgupta Saha, Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, Dr. Santanu Banerjee, Dr. Subrata Chattopadhyay, Dr. Keshab Mukhopadhyay, Dr. Abhijeet Mukherjee, and Dr. Manidip Pal. The college and hospital are affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and are funded by the Government of West Bengal.
