Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Delhi

Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is a public business school headquartered in South West Delhi, India. Established in 1963 as a Centre of Excellence in International Trade and Business, it functions under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India as an autonomous educational institute. It was granted 'Deemed to be University' status in 2002 and has been recognized as a Grade 'A+' Institution by NAAC in January 2024. It also serves as a training institute for probationary officers of the Indian Trade Service. The IIFT Delhi campus is located in the Qutub Institutional Area, spread over 6.5 acres with academic and residential blocks. Beyond Delhi, IIFT has campuses in Kolkata, Kakinada, and GIFT City, with an overseas campus planned in Dubai and another in Maidangarhi set to open in 2029. The institute offers programs such as the full-time residential MBA (International Business) and an M.A. in Economics with specialization in Trade and Finance. Admission involves a computer-based entrance test, group discussion, writing ability test, and personal interview, conducted separately for the Delhi and Kolkata campuses. The institute maintains a library with extensive collections on trade, economics, WTO issues, and subscribes to over 235 journals and periodicals.
