THIAGARAJAR SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT

Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM) is a private business school located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1962 by Kalaithanthai Thiru Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar, a prominent figure in the South Indian textile industry. The institute is situated on a 17-acre campus in the heart of Madurai city. TSM initially offered only Executive Development courses until 1971, after which part-time MBA courses began in 1972. Full-time MBA courses started in 1986, and full-time MCA courses were introduced in 1994, though the MCA program was discontinued after the 2009 batch. TSM offers PGDM and MBA programmes approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It has been granted autonomous status by the UGC and Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), and holds candidacy status for accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Admissions are based on all-India tests such as CAT, XAT, and MAT, or state government selection through TANCET. TSM also hosts YUKTI, its annual student-driven business school summit featuring management and cultural events.
