MAHARSHI KARVE STREE SHIKSHAN SAMSTHAS COLLEGE OF NURSING RATNAGIRI
The Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha's College of Nursing in Ratnagiri is part of the broader Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha, an education society dedicated to women's education, headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The parent organization was established in 1896 by Dhondo Keshav Karve, originally as the Hingane Stree Shikshan Samstha, starting with a home and school for widows in Hingne village near Pune. Over time, the institution expanded significantly and now runs 60 educational units exclusively for girls across various locations in Maharashtra, including Pune, Wai, Ratnagiri, Nagpur, and Kamshet. These units cover diverse fields such as engineering, architecture, management, nursing, fashion technology, and vocational training. While the text confirms that nursing is one of the branches established by the Samstha and that Ratnagiri is one of the locations where units operate, it does not provide specific information about the founding year, affiliation, or official website of the College of Nursing in Ratnagiri itself.
