Sree Vidyanikethan College of Nursing, Tirupati

The Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust (SVET) was established in 1993 by Dr. M. Mohan Babu, an actor, film producer, Padma Shri recipient, and former Rajya Sabha member. The trust is located about 14 kilometres from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India, and operates several educational institutions across disciplines, including colleges and two international schools and one pre-school. From an initial student strength of 216, SVET has grown to nearly 10,000 students, with five colleges and a cumulative full-time faculty of over 350, starting from just 10. SVET is described as the largest private institution in the Rayalaseema region and functions in collaboration with the Governments of India and Andhra Pradesh. The trust provides free education to 25% of its deserving students, and about 13,500 students have benefited from its financial support initiatives. Its library holds close to 69,000 titles. SVET hosts an annual techno-cultural fest called Mohana Mantra and celebrates Annual Day on 19 March, the founder's birthday. However, the text does not provide specific details about the College of Nursing itself, such as its founding year or university affiliation.
