Chandubhai S. Patel Institute of Technology

Chandubhai S. Patel Institute of Technology (CSPIT) began as the Charotar Institute of Technology - Changa (CITC), the first institute established at the Education Campus, Changa (ECC) in the year 2000. It was founded under the initiative of Chhotabhai Bhikhabhai Patel, the founder-president of the Kelavani mandal, and K.C. Patel, who succeeded him, as part of their efforts to develop a university at ECC. As the campus grew and sought greater autonomy, the ECC applied for university status to the UGC and the Gujarat Government, which was granted on July 7, 2009. At that point, ECC was accorded university status, leading to the establishment of Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT), of which CSPIT became a constituent institute. The institute is situated in the village of Changa, within the Charotar region that comprises the Anand and Kheda districts of Gujarat. The university as a whole has about 1700 faculty members and 8000 students, and has received an A+ ranking from NAAC, along with a placement in the 151–200 band among Indian universities in the NIRF 2022 rankings.
