Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior

ABV-IIITM Gwalior is an institute of national importance situated on a 160-acre residential campus near Chena Fort in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1997 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, it was initially known as IIITM before being prefixed with 'ABV' in 2002 to honor former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It gained recognition as an Institute of National Importance under The Indian Institute of Information Technology Act 2014. The campus includes academic blocks, hostels, a large central library with a capacity of 80,000 books, and access to digital resources through the INDEST consortium. The institute offers programs including MTech, MBA, PhD, and integrated BTech/MTech or BTech/MBA degrees, with departments in Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Sciences, and Management Studies. In 2017, it introduced its first undergraduate program, B.Tech. in CSE, followed by B.Tech. programs in Mathematics and Scientific Computing and Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2023. The institute has collaborated with Google since 2008 on curriculum development. A student team from the institute won the 2008 ACM ICPC Asia Regional Contest held in Kanpur.
