INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT, HAMIRPUR

The Institute of Hotel Management, Hamirpur is part of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCT&AN) system, generally known as the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), a multi-location public hospitality school network in India. IHM institutes were established by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of India and fall under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Tourism. These institutes cater not only to students from India but also to international students from SAARC countries. Admissions to IHM institutes, including presumably Hamirpur, are conducted through the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE), a national-level entrance exam for hospitality and hotel administration programs. The National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society) itself was set up in 1982 by the Government of India as an autonomous body to promote coordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country. The provided text does not give specific details about the founding year, location history, or website of the Hamirpur institute itself, nor does it list any notable alumni specifically from the Hamirpur campus.
