NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY, BHOPAL

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal, located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is one of the 19 campuses of NIFT, an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, offering courses in fashion, technology, and management. NIFT itself was established in 1986 and became a statutory institute in 2006 under the NIFT Act, empowering it to grant its own degrees. The Bhopal campus was set up in June 2008. NIFT offers undergraduate programmes such as Bachelor in Design (in Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Communication, and Fashion Interiors) and Bachelor in Fashion Technology, along with a Foundation Programme. Postgraduate offerings include Master's in Design, Master's in Fashion Technology, and Masters in Fashion Management, as well as full-time and part-time PhD programmes. Campuses like Bhopal are equipped with labs including computer labs, sewing machine labs, photography labs, pattern making and draping labs, weaving labs, dyeing and printing labs, and garment technology labs, along with student facilities such as libraries, hostels, canteens, health care, counselling, and sports centers.
