Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram

Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Viswa Maha Vidyalaya (SCSVMV) is a deemed university situated at Enathur, about four kilometres from Kancheepuram and eighty kilometres from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1993 with the blessings of Pujyasri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Pujyasri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamigal, it was granted Deemed University status by the Ministry of Human Resources Development under Section 3 of the UGC Act on 26 May 1993. The campus spans 50 acres and houses several academic schools, including Management, Education, Engineering and Technology, Science, Social Science and Humanity, Health and Life Science, Languages, and Sanskrit and Indian Culture. The university promotes research through Ph.D. programmes in all departments, with the Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture producing over 25 doctoral degrees. It has signed MOUs with institutions such as BITS, IIT Madras, the French Institute of Pondicherry, and the National Stock Exchange of India. Facilities include hostels for boys and girls, a medical centre, transport services, and the Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi International Library, established in 1995, which holds around 200,000 books and subscribes to over 200 journals.
