Singhania University, Jhunjhunu

Singhania University is a private university situated in Pacheri Bari, Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan, India, on the Delhi-Narnaul Singhana-Pilani Road, about 160 km west of Delhi and 165 km north of Jaipur. It was established by the Government of Rajasthan under Ordinance 6 of 2007 and inaugurated on 21 October 2007 by Shri D.C. Singhania, with its founding linked to Smt. Narmada Devi Singhania, his mother. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, and certain programs hold approvals from bodies such as the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The institution offers more than 200 programs across over 50 disciplines, including engineering, management, pharmacy, law, education, humanities, and sciences, at undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and doctoral levels. Its campus spans about 30 acres and includes libraries, laboratories, hostels, sports complexes, and auditoriums. Admissions are largely merit-based, with some programs using entrance exams like JEE Main and NEET. The university also has a placement cell supporting student employability. Its first graduating batch completed studies in 2010.
