INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT SIRMAUR
IIM Sirmaur was founded in 2015 and started the first batch of its Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in management on 4 September 2015. Its campus is located at Dhaula Kuan, District Sirmaur, near Paonta Sahib, an industrial town in the south of the district, spread over more than two hundred acres. The institute has an in-house library with around 650 books, and subscriptions to 22 periodicals and 5 newspapers in hard copies. In February 2017, Dr. Neelu Rohmetra of the University of Jammu was appointed as the founding director of the institute. IIM Sirmaur previously offered a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, a two-year postgraduate program equivalent to an MBA, but since the IIM Act, it offers a regular Master of Business Administration degree as a two-year, full-time residential programme. Admission to its MBA and MBA-TM courses is conducted each year through the Common Admission Test (CAT). IIM Sirmaur is noted as the first IIM to offer a major in Tourism, aimed at industry-specific management consulting and other roles.
