INSTITUTE OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY, KOTA

Indian Institute of Information Technology Kota (IIIT Kota) is one of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology, planned to be located at Ranpur near Kota, Rajasthan, on a campus spread over 100.37 acres. It is a joint venture of the Ministry of Education, the Government of Rajasthan, and industry partners under a Public-Private Partnership model. The academic session began in 2013 at a temporary campus at Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, and its first batch graduated in 2017. After the IIIT Act was passed by Parliament in 2017, IIIT Kota became an 'Institute of National Importance', with the same status as NITs and IITs and the power to officially confer degrees. The institute offers courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering, with admission through JEE Mains, and had 330 seats as of 2025. It moved into its newly built permanent campus in Ranpur, Kota, in 2023, with Phase I construction, including an academic building and hostels, nearing completion. IIIT Kota celebrates its Foundation Day every April.
