INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHMCT&AN), generally known as the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), is a multi-location public hospitality school in India. It was established by the Ministry of Tourism of the Government of India and operates under that ministry's jurisdiction. IHM caters not only to students from India but also to international students from the SAARC region. Admissions to its hospitality and hotel administration programs are coordinated through the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Society), an autonomous body set up by the Government of India in 1982 to promote the coordinated growth and development of hospitality education in the country. Admission is granted through the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination (NCHMCT JEE), a national-level entrance exam. The institute has produced several notable alumni across its various locations, including chefs, actors, and other professionals who studied at IHM branches in cities such as Mumbai, Lucknow, Hajipur, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Panchkula, Aurangabad, and Hyderabad.
