M P INSTITUTE OF FASHION AND DESIGN

The Bhopal campus is part of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), an autonomous institute offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in design, management, and technology. NIFT was established in 1986 under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and was declared a statutory institute in 2006 under the NIFT Act, empowering it to grant its own degrees. The Bhopal campus was set up in June 2008 as one of NIFT's 19 campuses spread across the country. Like other NIFT campuses, it offers programmes such as Bachelor in Design (B.Des.) in specializations including Fashion Design, Leather Design, Accessory Design, Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Communication, and Fashion Interiors, as well as Bachelor in Fashion Technology, Master's in Design, Master's in Fashion Technology, Master's in Fashion Management, and PhD programmes. Facilities available include computer labs, sewing machine labs, photography labs, pattern making and draping labs, weaving labs, dyeing and printing labs, garment technology labs, leather and accessory design labs, a library, hostel and residency, canteen, health care, counselling services, gym, incubation cell, amphitheaters, and auditoriums.
