The university's motto, 'Yogastha Kuru Karmani', is derived from the Bhagavad Gita. The university has nine faculties, including Arts & Languages, Science, Engineering & Technology, and Law, along with several centres of excellence focused on research areas such as the Saraswati river, earthquake studies, environmental science, and advanced materials.
