COLLEGE OF HORTICULTURE JUNAGADH AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY JUNAGADH

Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU) is a public state agricultural university located in Junagadh, Gujarat, offering education in agriculture and allied sciences such as agriculture, agricultural engineering, and fisheries. Its teaching structure includes four faculties: agriculture, agricultural engineering, fisheries, and postgraduate studies. Among its list of educational institutions is a 'Polytechnic in Horticulture, Junagadh,' though the text does not describe a separate 'College of Horticulture' in detail. The broader Gujarat Agricultural University was established in February 1972 and later split into four separate universities in 2004, with Junagadh Agricultural University beginning operations on 1 May 2004. JAU also maintains numerous research stations, sub-stations, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras across Gujarat for crop, fisheries, and agricultural technology development, including work that led to the first hybrid bajra and hybrid castor varieties.
