Silli College, Silli

Silli Polytechnic College is a diploma-level educational institute located in Silli, a town in the Silli block of the Ranchi district, Jharkhand. It was established in 2013 under a public–private partnership between the Government of Jharkhand and Techno India, initially operating as Techno India Silli. It was later renamed Government Polytechnic College Silli, and in 2017 it adopted its current name, Silli Polytechnic College, after difficulties arose because its earlier name was not registered with the accreditation body, affecting graduate employment. The nearest railway station, Silli Railway Station, is three kilometers away, while Munda Airport, the nearest airport, is 64 kilometers away. Academically, the institute was affiliated with the State Board of Technical Education, Jharkhand, until 2017, and became affiliated with the Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, in 2018. All its courses are approved by the All India Council of Technical Education. The institute currently offers diploma-level programs in five engineering departments: Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
