Villa Marie Degree College for Women

Villa Marie Intermediate, Degree and Post Graduate College was established in 1991 in Hyderabad, India, by Dr. Y. Philomena, Founder and Director, to address the shortage of good intermediate junior colleges for women in the Hyderabad area. It started as a modest intermediate junior college at its present location in Somajiguda. In 1996, the institution expanded into a degree college affiliated with Osmania University, offering bachelor's degrees in Arts, Commerce, Business Management, Science, and Computer Applications. In 2000, it further expanded to become a postgraduate institution, offering master's degrees in Business Administration and Computer Applications through its Post Graduate College of Management and Computer Applications. Admission to intermediate courses requires passing the Telangana State Secondary Certificate, CBSE, or ICSE examinations, while undergraduate admission requires 60% or above marks in intermediate or equivalent programs, and MBA admission requires a graduate degree with 45% or above marks. The college's infrastructure includes projector-equipped classrooms, a library with more than 30,000 books, air-conditioned seminar halls with seating for over 200 students on every floor, and an auditorium. Cultural activities at the college include the Villa Festa and exhibitions.
