The Indian Institute of Management – Indore (IIM Indore) is an autonomous public business school located in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Founded in 1996, it was established as the sixth Indian Institute of Management, following IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode. It initially operated out of the Government Polytechnic College in Rajendra Nagar, Indore, before shifting to its current 193-acre campus at Prabandh Shikhar, on Rau-Pithampur Road, near the Pithampur Special Economic Zone, in 2003. The institute's first MBA (PGP) batch of 37 participants began in June 1998. Over the years, IIM Indore introduced several programmes including the Fellow Programme in Management, Executive PGP, and the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first undergraduate program offered by an IIM. It also briefly operated campuses in Ras al-Khaimah/Dubai (UAE) and Mumbai. In 2017, IIM Indore was named an institute of national importance along with other IIMs. In December 2019, it became the second IIM to receive Triple Crown Accreditation (AMBA, AACSB, and EQUIS). The campus includes multiple student hostels, a Learning Centre (library), and a state-of-the-art sports complex.
