ORIENTAL UNIVERSITY,INDORE

Oriental University is a private university situated in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established on May 4, 2011, under the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalay (Sthapana Ewam Sanchalan) Sanshodhan Adhiniyam, 2011, a state legislative act that also led to the establishment of two other private universities in the same period, namely People's University and ITM University. This act was part of a broader effort by the Madhya Pradesh state government to regulate and enable the founding of private universities within the state. As a private institution, Oriental University operates independently of direct government control, though it functions under the legal framework established by this specific piece of state legislation. The university is based in Indore, a major city in Madhya Pradesh known for its educational institutions. No further details regarding its academic programs, affiliations, or accreditation are provided in the available information. The founding of Oriental University reflects the trend of private higher education expansion in Madhya Pradesh during the early 2010s, facilitated by state-level legislative support for such institutions.
