Wainganga College of Engineering and Management, Dongargaon, Nagpur

Wainganga College of Engineering and Management (WCEM) is located in Dongargaon, Nagpur, India, and was established in 2008. In 2018, a panel led by Nagpur University investigated the college's finances and found irregularities, alleging that WCEM had collected excess fees from students and had failed to refund caution money that was owed to them. In 2019, WCEM applied to reduce its student intake capacity, a move that followed the financial controversy. In 2020, the college's principal, Manish Bihade, publicly accused the WCEM management of refusing to pay staff salaries unless the staff members recruited new students for the institution. These events highlight a period of administrative and financial difficulty for the college, drawing attention from university authorities and raising concerns about its governance and treatment of both students and employees during this time.
