J.C. BOSE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, YMCA, FARIDABAD

J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, formerly YMCA University of Science and Technology (YMCA UST) and YMCA Institute of Engineering (YMCAIE), is a state public university located in Faridabad, Haryana, India. It was established in 1969 as an Indo-German project, a joint venture of the National Council of YMCAs of India, the Government of Haryana, and the German Central Agencies for Development Aid, Bonn, Germany. It was initially affiliated to M.D. University, and in 1996 the state government took full control over the college. It became a university in December 2009 through the YMCA University of Science and Technology Faridabad Act, 2009, and was renamed to its current name in 2018 through an amendment act. The campus, located on NH-2 about 30 km from New Delhi, includes buildings for MBA and science and technology courses, a girls' hostel, a library, an auditorium, sports facilities, and various shops and services. The university offers undergraduate B.Tech, postgraduate M.Tech, M.Sc., M.A., MBA, MCA, and three-year degree courses like BCA, BBA, and B.Sc. It was ranked 151-200 among engineering colleges by NIRF in 2024. Student life includes cultural and technical festivals such as ELEMENTS CULMYCA, KHOJ, and CONCOURSE, along with various student societies.
