Charotar University of Science & Technology, Anand

Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) is a private university situated in the village of Changa, in the Charotar region comprising the Anand and Kheda districts of Gujarat, India. Its origins trace back to the Education Campus, Changa (ECC), founded under the leadership of Chhotabhai Bhikhabhai Patel and later K.C. Patel. The campus began with the establishment of the Charotar Institute of Technology - Changa (CITC) in 2000, which later became known as the Chandubhai S. Patel Institute of Technology (CSPIT). Seeking greater autonomy, the ECC applied for university status to the UGC and the Gujarat Government, which was granted on July 7, 2009, leading to the formal establishment of Charotar University of Science and Technology. The university currently has about 1700 faculty members and approximately 8000 students. It has been awarded an A+ ranking by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and was ranked in the 151–200 band among universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022.
