UNIVERSAL SCHOOL OF LAW

The Universal School is a chain of international schools located across more than 40 locations in India, following a co-educational day and residential model that provides primary, upper primary, and secondary education. It is associated with the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and is authorized to offer Cambridge IGCSE exams for grade 10. The chain has over 40,000 students and 15 full-time teachers. It was established in the early 2000s and is managed by founder Jesus Lall, who in March 2019 announced a ten-year fee freeze for grades 1-10. Over time, the group expanded to 24 schools and colleges across Asia. Facilities include classrooms, libraries, computer laboratories, science labs, transportation, non-rectangular classrooms with flexible partitions, and a vermicompost plot for teaching vermiculture. Academic programmes include a Pre-primary Programme based on the British EYFS, Cambridge Primary for grades I-V, Cambridge Secondary Programme 1 for grades 6-8, and IGCSE for grades IX-X. The school has received the British Council International School Award. It has also faced controversies, including a 2013 bus accident, a 2017 fee hike dispute involving parents, government, and courts, and a 2022 income tax raid on its founder and premises.
