Jain Vishva Bharati Institute, Nagaur

Jain Vishva Bharati Institute (JVBI) is a deemed university situated in Ladnun, in the Didwana-Kuchaman district of Rajasthan, India. It was established under the inspiration of Acharya Tulsi, the 9th Head of the Jain Svetambar Terapanth religious sect, and is housed within the campus of its parent organization, Jain Vishva Bharati. In March 1991, the Government of India notified JVBI as a 'Deemed University' under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Acharya Tulsi served as its first constitutional Anushasta, followed by Acharya Mahapragya, with Acharya Mahashraman currently holding the position. The institute is accredited 'A' grade by NAAC and is affiliated with UGC, AICTE, BCI, and MHRD. JVBI offers a broad spectrum of academic programs, including undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., Ph.D., and D.Lit. courses in subjects such as Jainology, Philosophy, Sanskrit, Prakrit, Yoga, Nonviolence and Peace, Social Work, and Education, along with several diploma and certificate courses. It also provides distance education programs. Professor B.R. Dugar, from the Department of Nonviolence and Peace, currently serves as the Vice Chancellor.
