Lal Bahadur Degree College
Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Degree College, abbreviated as L.B.S. Degree College, is a government aided postgraduate degree college situated in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, India. The institution is accredited by the University Grants Commission (India) and has been given a 'B' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It is affiliated with Maa Pateswari University. The college was founded in 1966 by the former District Magistrate, the late Shri Rajendra Nath, who established it in memory of the late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, after whom the college is named. Over time, the institution has expanded to include three separate campuses: the Main Campus, the Science Campus, and the B.Ed Campus. These campuses allow the college to offer a range of academic programs across different disciplines. As a postgraduate degree college, it provides higher education opportunities to students in the region, maintaining its accreditation standards through UGC recognition and NAAC assessment. The college continues to operate under its historical namesake, honoring the legacy of Lal Bahadur Shastri through its educational mission in Gonda district.
