Central University of Haryana is a central university situated in Jaat-Pali village, about 10 kilometres from Mahendragarh city and 25 kilometres from Kanina, in Mahendragarh district, Haryana, India. It was established by an Act of Parliament, 'The Central Universities Act, 2009', as one of 15 central universities set up by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of Haryana. Its first convocation was held on 1 March 2014. The university's permanent campus spans more than 484 acres near the Aravalli hills and Sahibi riverbed, featuring academic blocks, hostels, a library, guest house, faculty housing, sports facilities, and health services. In 2024–25, CUH expanded significantly, signing a ₹196.98 crore infrastructure MoU with NBCC (India) Ltd., inaugurating a Miyawaki-style urban forest, and establishing a Centre of Excellence in Civil Engineering with UltraTech Cement. The university offers Graduation, Post Graduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs across 8 Schools with 35 Departments, with admissions through CUET and, since 2024, B.Tech admissions via JEE-Main and JoSSA/CSAB counselling. The President of India serves as the university's visitor. The institution has faced controversies including a land dispute with local villagers and criticism over an RSS leader's conference appearance.
