It is affiliated to Anna University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college holds an A++ accreditation from NAAC with a CGPA of 3.65. Founded in 1984 by the late Thiru R.S. Kothandaraman, it operates under the Sri Rangalatchumi Educational Trust. The campus is located about 13 kilometers from Dindigul along National Highway 83 towards Palani, spread over 45 hectares. PSNA CET offers a range of undergraduate programs including Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Bio-Medical Engineering, and newer specializations like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It also offers postgraduate programs such as M.E. in various engineering disciplines, MBA, and MCA. Several undergraduate programs and the MBA program are accredited by NAAC and AICTE. The institution received the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan - National Award in 2007 from the Indian Society for Technical Education for best overall performance, shared with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore.
