Cochin University College of Engineering

Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad (CUCEK) is housed on the Pulincunnu campus, one of the three campuses of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), a state government-owned autonomous university based in Kochi, Kerala, India. The Pulincunnu campus is located in Kuttanad, Alappuzha District, and lies about 65 km from CUSAT's Main campus in South Kalamassery, Kochi. CUSAT itself was founded in 1971 as the University of Cochin through an act of the Kerala Legislature, and was renamed Cochin University of Science and Technology in February 1986. The university is organized into nine faculties, including Science, Technology, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Humanities, Law, Marine Sciences, Medical Sciences and Technology, and Social Sciences, with 29 departments offering graduate and postgraduate programmes. Admissions to undergraduate and postgraduate courses across CUSAT are based on the Common Admission Test (CAT), with Departmental Admission Tests (DAT) for some postgraduate courses. While the text describes CUSAT's broader structure, faculties, and other campuses in detail, it provides limited specific information about the Cochin University College of Engineering, Kuttanad itself beyond its location on the Pulincunnu campus.
