NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FASHION TECHNOLOGY PANCHKULA

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is an autonomous institute under India's Ministry of Textiles offering courses in fashion, technology, and management, with its head office in New Delhi. NIFT was established in 1986 and became a statutory institute in 2006 under the NIFT Act, empowering it to grant its own degrees. NIFT currently operates 19 campuses across India, one of which is located in Panchkula. The Panchkula campus was initially set up temporarily in 2019 and was made permanent in 2022. As part of the wider NIFT network, the Panchkula campus would offer facilities such as computer labs, sewing machine labs, photography labs, pattern making and draping labs, weaving labs, dyeing and printing labs, garment technology labs, leather and accessory design labs, along with student facilities like a library, hostel, canteen, health care, counselling, and sports facilities. NIFT offers undergraduate programmes such as Bachelor in Design and Bachelor in Fashion Technology, postgraduate programmes including Master's in Design, Master's in Fashion Technology, and Master's in Fashion Management, as well as full-time and part-time PhD programmes.
